We've all experienced how music can have a profound effect on our state of mind. It can create joy and sorrow and stimulate memories from long ago. I paint musicians because I want to capture this moment. A live performance is not just about the music. It's about witnessing how musicians communicate with each other with their music, body movements, and vision. They often will bring each other to new heights, creating new music in the moment. This type of communication then brings us, the audience, into their very private world and unifies the performance. That's why every performance becomes unique, and worth seeing live! "Echo" portrays two musicians very much in their own world, yet also having this tie by creating something new together.
