Performances of combined dance and music use all of our senses. In "Flamenco", musicians are communicating with each other with their music, body movements, and vision. But at the same time, they are providing the dancers with accompaniment. The dancers use eye contact and touch, but are especially dependent on the music to keep them in sync with each other. Every aspect of this complicated codependence is important to the success of the performance. When done correctly, the observer doesn't notice the challenges of the performance, but is swept away by the spontaneity of it all!
