In Their Hand is my take on a chipped stone tool, found in the hand of a young hominin (Homo naledi) buried in the Rising Star Cave System, ca. 240,000 years BP. I have rendered it in a mysterious range of greens and surrounded it with “energy lines” that imply a concentrated consciousness on the part of these early hominins. Framed.
